I'm trying to track this stuff down in Australia, there is NO quality dry cider over here. I got sold on one of their magazine ads, a giant yellow page with "When I die, I'm leaving my body to science fiction." Truly, words to live by.

I had some of this recently because it was on offer at £1 for a 620ml bottle in Morrisons. It's pleasant enough, but lacking in hop character. And one might ask whether it is very eco-friendly to ship beer all the way from South America?

Really needs to be well chilled though - no lager gives of its best at room temperature.

I do Savannah and all i can say is after a few you get a real kick out of it. I take it with lemon because it decreases the chances of a burnt throat the next day

I tried Abbot Ale from a bottle today for the first time. I can say it was quaffable but got a slight metallic hint in the flavour. Is this the malt, hops or something else?

Hi, I have tried these sweets before and now stopped when I found out Zed Candy, the International sweet producer makes its products in China. The quality is bad and a number of recall products have happened already. Just google "zed candy recall". At least 10 web sites come up with comments of "foreign material" found in their products. I wrote to the headoffice in Kilcock and still wait for an answer. It really makes you thinks about what ingredients they put in the bags, now sourced from China. Long live Cadburys !

my missus loves this ale, being a Daarsut lad its nice to sit on the banks of the stour, fly rod in hand, blandford fly nipping the ankles, sipping a good quality refreshing ale that can actually help bridge the male - female gap and gives us another thing to chat about on an equal level (always a good thing) before I drag her out on a 20 mile xc mountain bike ride and then being forced to watch the crap factor : )

Interesting that you mention about the bottle size, as they used to come in full pint sizes before they disgracefully chose to downsize them with no corresponding drop in price. I once e-mailed them about it asking why they did it and they sent me the following insight-free stock reply.

Thank you for recently contacting us via the Bombardier website.

We have recently introduced a new bottle to our entire range of beers.

The standard format for the bottled ale category is 500ml. All of our major competitors produce beer in 500ml bottles.

The change is a permanent one, in order for us to align ourselves with the rest of the bottled ales available.

I do hope you continue to enjoy Wells Bombardier.
